This is a template for a future guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Satellite Pro L500 laptop with the Intel Core 2 processor. For whatever reason Toshiba has released this model with the same name as the newer i3/i5 models, despite the fact that internally these are totally different. Not all of the fn- keys are recognized by linux. They do not generate any events (acpi or input), and probably need a system specific driver. Tested with 2.6.33 kernel.
