This is a guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Satellite X200-X205 laptop.

The NVIDIA graphics chip in the Satellite X200 needs the proprietary nvidia modules to function properly. You can see the guides section on this site for installation details.
For sound to work properly (depending on your distribution) you may needs to upgrade your version of ALSA. See the guides section on this site for details.

There is some amount of configuration work required to get the graphics and sound working properly with the Toshiba Satellite X200. However after this the hardware in the X200 works just fine with Linux.

The subwoofer is also asleep in my x200. Have someone succeeded in activating it ?
