Labtop was tested with linux mint 14.
Besides microphone Labtop works very well out of the box with linux mint 14.
Discussion
During the liveCD - before it goes black… IF you get the countdown numbers… then press arrows till over “normal” or “compatability” mode (they shuold appear after pressing down arrow). Then press TAB - then in the text that appears, arrow back before the ”–” marks at the end and type “nomodesete” to disable KMS (kernel mode settings). That should help with the black screen. might have to do it again upon installation. After that – hunt for a better driver (haven't found one yet, but am looking).
