Ubuntu 9.04 with rEFIT installed on MacBook 2.1 works everything out of the box. only webcam need a manuall driver.

ubuntu 9.04 on vmware fuion also works perfect.

MacBook aluminium (2.0 GHz, 4 Mb RAM) tested on Ubuntu 8.10 in VMware Fusion. Installed VMware Tools according to <>. Works fine. WiFi not yet set.

Macbook 2.1 (2GHz, 3GB ram, combo) tested on Sabayon 4. Fan min. speed needs to be set at 3000 rpm (using ubuntu way). Works well out of the box.

Macbook 3,1 (Santa Rosa) tested with Ubuntu 8.10 beta. Works well, trackpad is slugish, but tweaking settings should resolve this. Wifi works via NDISwrapper.
