Discussion

Debian 8, 2017/04/12 16:44

I've also tried Debian 8 which I've installed on a 16 GB SD-Card and it works really smooth.
The Fn Keys for Brightness also works which was important for me.
Also to be said: As the EeePC 1011 CX only uses passive cooling and Debian runs well from the SD-Card so the HDD is only needed for me for larger files, the 1011 CX don't make any noise.

The only problem i faced was problems with the energy saving mode because the internal SD-Card reader is declared as USB Device which can't wake up.
Any suggestions what i can do?

The Specs are not correct.

As the RAm is build on the Mainboad it will remain at 1GB without the chance to uphrade it.

Also the HDD is 320GB one.

I tried Puppy Slacko on it which works well.

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Asus 1011cx and the problem i found is, the screen has very low contrast, and the brightness options don't work. Some people say Linux Mint 13 with cedarview-graphics-drivers might work. I'm about to try that
