Suspend/Resume doesn't work reliably, it suspends but doesn't resume properly.
The Asus K52DR works fairly well with Linux but hopefully a future update will get suspend/resume working as well.
Discussion
I am Spanish. My English is bad. I used the Google Tranlator.
My laptop is the version whit AMD Phenom™ II Triple-Core Processor N830, 2.1 GHz.
I installed Linux, specifically Slackware distribution, and the truth is that the machine works quite well.
But I have problems with the suspension to ram. When it wakes up the system (resume), the system time has been changed. The time has been advanced, always nearly three days ahead (68 hours).
In addition, the device stops working rtc-cmos. The hwclock program is not able to find a method of accessing the hardware clock. So I have to set the hour by hand with the command “date-s”.
It also disables the irq 17 and stops working properly USB module 2 (ehci_hcd).
Conclusion: it works and I use the laptop perfectly, but I can not use suspend to ram or to disk.
