I have been running Opensuse 12.2 and 12.3 on this machine and both without any problems. So far everything works perfect. Most of the problems I have encountered had to do with the distro itself but not with the hardware.
I have not tried Gnome but KDE works smooth. Still have to figure how to get the card reader working.

I got the SD reader working in ubuntu 12.04 by following this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks/+bug/971876
Firewire and bluetooth still untested, but everything else works. Curiously system-settings has my graphics listed as “Unknown”
Hello, I am not sure what “testing” would entail, but my optical drive has been working with Ubuntu. I can load up DVDs just fine, I have one of Windows 7 in right now.
The card reader does not work, does anyone have a solution to how to fix this besides recompiling a windows driver?
