Anyone got the webcam working in Jaunty? I built the 1.4 stk11xx drivers but it didn't seem to take. I noticed the spec sheet above says that the cam works in Jaunty.
hey tommy, were you able to get the sound to work? if so, how'd you do it?
thanks
In order to get sound on the N80VN-X5, you must add the line
options snd-hda-intel model=g71v
in your /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file.
Don't forget to unmute all channels. (except line-in, microphone, etc.)
Hi everybody. I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8.10 on my Asus N80Vn-X5 but I can't get the sound to work. Furthermore, to increase the inconviniences a little bit more, I'm a newbie with Linux, so I'd need a “Linux for Dummies” kind of answer. Thanx a lot.
I am about to try ubuntu 8.10 and will update how it goes. On the live CD I am unable to get sound to work I will let everyone know when I install.
i installed fedora 10 on my asus n80vn it and fedora installs all drivers beautifully……the only problem i have is despite the sound drivers being installed i get no sound. im working on that. my specs are a little different from the ones u have listed. i am willing to answer any questions.
