Most of these components are known to be compatible for use with various mainstream 'nix variants, however the >touchscreen remains a big question as to how painful it is to get running. I have ordered an s550cm-cj098 and will >install Archlinux and Xubuntu to test hardware, and especially touchscreen compatibility as soon as it gets here.
I will add the experience and the problematic steps I have run into back here as soon as I'm done.
