How to have brightness control :

sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Replace the line with :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

To :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi="

don't forget to run sudo update-grub after closing the saved file. Reboot the laptop.

Improved Clickpad
If you can't drag, try this :

Reboot the laptop to make the changes effect. You can still use 2 finger tap to right click. Bottom buttons work fine with this configuration

Save power
Install jupiter :
sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:webupd8team/jupiter && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y jupiter laptop-mode-tools
Reboot and launch jupiter, choose power mode.

Mine is Asus X201EP, is the new varian of Asus X201E with 4GB Memory.
And Asus only releasing Procesor Intel Celeron Dual Core 847 only, no Pentium Dual Core or Core i3.
This Prosesor is based Core i3 Sandy Bridge, low end version of Core i3.

Tested with Ubuntu Precise 12.04.02 LTS x86 , USB Install with Unetbootin.
You don't have to do anything, all of it configured automaticly.
You just need to edit grub to make Brightness control to working.

I Have litle problem with HDMI, it cannot send audio through HDMI to my Samsung TV (LA32D550) and when i choose 1920×1080 @60Hz, the picture quality is like Upscaled 720p. :(
But when i conected through VGA Port, with 1920 x 1080 @60Hz i have great Picture Quality.

Bluetooth not detected, or perhaps not present??
Edit: No, it's doesn't have it.

Charging is slow…., but i know it when reading review in notebookcheck. :(

Watching temperature with Gkrellm, wow this CPU is hot…. mine can get up to 90 Celcius but it's normal…
I have read review Laptop with Intel Celeron Sandy bridge and Intel Pentium Sandy Bridge in notebookcheck, and yes it hot.

Edit:
I Have Kubuntu 12.10 and Windows 8 in this laptop, and no problem at all.
And This Asus X201EP doesn't have Bluetooth , the windows version in review on notebookcheck doesn't have bluetooth too.
i have confirm it with install windows 8 premium trial and using cd driver and try download bluetooth driver from asus x201e download page.

In KDE, Fn button for WiFi and Disable Touchpad not working, this is KDE Fault, i still don't know how to set it.
I have confirm it with Fedora 13 KDE version and OpenSUSE 12.3 KDE Version, and only FN + Wifi and Fn + Disable Touchpad is not working.
