Installation is different than in older PCs without UEFI, but possible and not so hard. However, I have a strange problem on this laptop with every Linux distribution: the screen flickers, so I can't use it longer than a few minutes. When I'm using pre-installed Windows (or when I'm using Linux on other computers), this problem doesn't appear. When I'm scrolling documents on for example Ubuntu, they are divided on a diagonal line, so it means that there are some problems with synchronization. On Mint documents scroll normally, but there are also some problems with flickering.

The installation was a little boring from windows 8 you shall disable fast boot on win8 and F2 on boot, enable PXE,disable fast boot and disable secure boot on bios . Next to that, Linux (ubuntu-studio i used) installation is pretty fast (15min).

To have wired network you shall use compat-wirelless something (cw) module “alx” (avaible in ubuntu package manager).

As usual, in a native distribution, the touchpad works but the behaviour is not the best. Anyway, this laptop is performant.
