Discussion
I put windows 8 on it and runs great fans is louder but runs fast and cleaner. Love this pc
I encountered some difficulties getting some components to work on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.
Microphone was not working. Alsamixer was displaying wrong devices. I simply had to edit this file:
gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and add this line at the bottom:
options snd-hda-intel model=fujitsu
After reboot audio I/O is 100% working.
-Stylus could not be calibrated, stylus buttons didn't work, and input tablet rotation did not follow screen rotation.
My solution was to edit this file:
gksu gedit /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/10-linuxwacom.fdi
and replace its contents with the configuration file named Favux_new-generic_rc2_10-linuxwacom.fdi that I found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1038949 (registration needed).
After rebooting, I could calibrate the stylus by running:
wacomcpl
For screen rotation (or screen orientation), I found a simple script here:
http://blog.aliencam.net/articles/ubuntu-9-04-setup-guide/
I hope these info can be helpful.
For the digitizer rotation, try the linuxwacom package, more specifically xsetwacom. Works perfectly
yep, but auto rotate didn't manage yet how to make it work. Anyway, I'll try fedora 11 thiese days ! ;)
My /etc/X11/xorg.conf file which I created is:
I think if you add that and also install wacom / wdaemon from yum you will be okay. Now I will try to make it work even I ” rotate ” the screen, cause the digitizer works like the screen works without rotation :D
Hello, I got a T5010 fujitsu-siemens Tablet, installed Fedora 10. Works pretty nice most of devices, webcam too!.
Wifi , USB wifi , bluetooth worked fine. Now I am trying to make digitizer to work, as shortcuts for changing 90 angle screen when I work the tablet as tablet. Finger print sencor , and scroll sencor on the screen didn't work, if I make them work I'll let you know !
Awesome!
I'm getting one soon and was wondering if you could tell me:
how did you get the webcam working?
Thank you very much!!
It worked withoud to anything ! and worked well and fast ;) Still didn't find any solution about digitizer :/ ..
Except that , one of my best buys ever ;)
