On Fedora 14, still kmod-wl is required to enable Wireless.

Discussion
Sorry but I cannot help on Fedora.
I just installed Mageia 2 on HP 5101 that previously contained SLED (Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop) 11.
This particular HP 5101 has no bluetooth or WIFI hardware.
But everything else seems to work well inclusing sound, video, keyboard shortcuts for sound volume and screen brightness.
I have not tested the microphone with Mageia 2.
How do I enable the microphone
