The HP Pavilion dv7-2100 works quite well with Linux.
Discussion
I have HP Pavilion dv7 2173cl with Linux Mint + KDE 4.4. Ethernet, Wireless, Firewire and TV Tuner were not testing. Other devices work. Also bluetooth, multimedia keys, IR (needs lirc) are working. Video: I use proprietary driver.
