Notes

Tested with openSUSE 12.2 (Gnome) with the i5-2450M (Intel HD 3000 graphics), everything works just fine. Installation was straightforward without any complications. Having this machine for few weeks, I haven't discovered anything unpleasant.
Even elsewhere quite common minor glitches, like not turning off webcam led indicator or not changing the wireless status indicator, are not present here.

Summary

HP ProBook 4530s works with Linux very well.

openSuSE 12.2 Graphics, hibernate etc works out of the box. Brightness volume control works. Using KDE4/KDE3 desktop. Haven't tried/needed the fingerprint reader so don't know if it works or not. Also I haven't tried the VGA and HDMI output so I can't verify do they work or not.
