Installation of Linux on the R60e want through without an issue.
There were no issues at all in getting the IBM-Lenovo Thinkpad R60e working when used with an up to date Linux distribution.

it works just fines
Ok there are only a few things that don't work.
the forward and back buttons near the arrow keys
the blue thinkvantage key dosen't work in linux
and the track point scroll button in the middle don't work either
other wise it works just fine
