Tested on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.
All hardware devices run perfect without special settings. Thinkpad's key “Fn” (a special function key) is also supported. Only unsupported thing is the “ThinkVantage” key (other Thinpad's special key), but you can set it by configuring the appropriate file.
The desktop environment (GNOME) is well-integrated with this laptop. You can control sound volume, brightness, etc. by your keys.
Finally, this laptop just works under (Ubuntu) GNU/Linux.
Discussion
I the following Linux destributions, they all worked : Ubuntu, openSUSE, and Linux OS PC.
All are great, but no support for ThinkVantage Technology. !
I got Fedora 7,8,9,10 and 11 installed on the System. Everything works fine !
the following are my laptop specification, and i face problems in installing fedora on it, i think the problem is in the grapichc card, because at the begining of the installation i got a black screen any ony can help.
