Discussion
Ubuntu 8.10 works straight off the disk and gets better with upgrades!
Mandriva also works. But if you want to play a dvd or play a dvd it is a bigger challenge.
fedora 10 is great but mp3 and dvd are not easy.
So Ubuntu wins.
Has anyone used MINT on the Thinkpad X61-tablet? Mine is the Core-2/DUO edition with high-res video and “tablet” but without [multi]touch.
I've tried Several Ubuntu editions – Hardy, Jaunty, Karmic – but there are too many wrinkles. Mint looks like a better place for their efforts for everything main-stream to work out-of-box.
Thanks,
