fglrx driver provides graphics support, but ati/radeon freedesktop drivers work with s3_bios (see Documentation/power/video.txt in kernel source documentation). http://www.heuback.com/?attachment_id=4

Upek 147e:1002 requires fingerprint-gui (which uses proprietary Upek driver). This is available from Ubuntu launchpad repository as an add-on. The GUI program is GPL, so in theory may be portable to Fedora, Slackware, etc.

Optical drive: works
Graphics chip: works, also with proprietary FGLRX driver
Bluetooth: works
Suspend/Resume: at least standby works (ACPI S3)
