Notes

Sound

If sound doesn't work add the following lines to your /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file:

options snd-hda-intel model=targa-dig
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1

Summary

The MSI EX628 works fairly well with Linux. Newer Linux distributions should take care of the sound issue.

options snd-hda-intel model=targa-dig
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
