Discussion
Hi, I made a patch for udev/systemd to make the eject button work on the GE60. If your system has udev, you can add the following row to /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/95-keymap.rules:
ENV{DMI_VENDOR}==“MICRO-STAR*|Micro-Star*”, ATTR{[dmi/id]product_name}==“GE60*|GE70*”, RUN+=“keymap $name 0xC2 ejectcd”
Please reply if it works also on the GE70.
I have this Laptop but without the Killer Gaming network(Intel instead) and installed Ubuntu 12.04 and mostly every thing works, the optical drive has no eject button it's software driven so no way to eject the drive under linux,the battery works but ubuntu does not detect it, the touch pad works better under linux then win7 and have not yet tried installing bumblebee to get GTX660M work but likely to work with updated kernel.
