Everything works from the first time using UTUTO XS LiveDVD and gNaltu LiveCD, including wifi (driver included in default kernel!), webcam, microphone, acpi, 3D desktop, etc.
Works beautifully, in fact just used it to modify this page.
Discussion
Where can i find the drivers for the webcam??
Thanks
can you explain this “Evolution is too large on the 10 inch screen to be functional ( same with ubuntu and suse ).” further?
I've been running a dual boot of WinXP Pro and Ubuntu 9.04 for about 6 months now. I originally had Ubuntu 8.10, but had issues with the wireless card, 9.04 resolved those. The install from a USB flash drive was quick and painless.
You can try gNaltu 2009 livecd, everything works great, even wifi, 3D Desktop (compiz) and webcam.
Download livecd here http://rshg020.dnsready.net/gNaltu-XS-2009-LiveCD.iso (kde in spanish by default, change it to english from control center if you need)
I just installed “Easy Peasy 1.0” (http://geteasypeasy.com) and everything works just out of the box.
Ethernet: ok
WLAN: ok
Sound: ok
Camera: ok
USB: ok
FC 10 installed perfectly.
The wifi card on mine ( 8187se ) did not work and I had to use http://code.google.com/p/msi-wind-linux/ to bring it up.
Evolution is too large on the 10 inch screen to be functional ( same with ubuntu and suse ).
The ethernet worked out of the box.
The on board Bison cam worked after adding drivers from the repos.
