Very Important - If you want to install any Linux distribution you have to update the BIOS first. go to the support web page and download the updater.
The linux distribution must have to be the kernel 2.6.34 or higher if you want to have the Ethernet connection working out-of-the-box.
Discussion
Update: With OpenSuse 12.1 or Ubuntu 11.10 all the hardware work out of the box. If you use Fedora 15 or 16, you have to install the kmod-wl driver for wireless.
I'm running Fedora 14 with a few problems, wifi connection and audio card especially.
How can I be sure I have to update the BIOS.
My model is a L635-13M PSK04E-07600UFR
