BACKTRACK X64 WORKS FINE,BUT CANNOT ENABLE COMPIZ …(SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER DISTROS)
I can confirm Fedora 17 Live CD runs , but the wifi doesnt work “out of the box”.
I might try centos 6 :)
Windows 7 hard drive crashed. Couldn't get back on the hard drive. Had a much smaller hard drive and decided to try CentOS on it. Downloaded CD-RW size 6.3 and am going to try. Booted fine first try. Booting into second try. Login good, Network wireless config good. Software Update good. I'm really charged now! Yeah CentOS 6.3!
Okay, made a change. Downloaded Stella which is a modified version of CentOS 6.3. Install was smooth and found all devices working like a charm. Wifi, wired networks secured and working. Can play video's and DVD's and Pandora and Sirius. Screen resolution is great, brightness controls good. Updates download and good. Charge on battery seems to last longer as well. Used to maintain clients systems without flaw! Corporate email working as well. GO TOSHIBA! GO STELLA! (Hey she was my dream girl in the '70's!)
